Sunchokes–that’s what those were in the salad. I loved this salad! Were the sunchokes pickled or something? I want more. Great tamale pie. We don’t like papaya over here.

loved everything last week (especially the absolutely perfect chili!) except the barf-paya. But you already knew that.
At least none of us think cilantro tastes like soap. that would be a major bummer.

Good stuff. Kaleb got the bulk of the tamale pie, as I’ve been getting randomly picky and occasionally queasy. I have to third the “papaya is gross” sentiment. No offense! It’s a pretty fruit, but I think it smells like poo.

TLTs were great! Loved the addition of avocado, always welcome. Slaw was interesting, in a good way. And sweet potatoes are yummy. Bravo!

Yummy TLTs. Kids liked the slaw, as they claimed it tasted like vietnamese tofu sandwiches. I thought that was an interesting taste association but also kind of accurate. I like sweet potatoes.

good sandwiches–I was sad when it was all gone. Yummy sweet potatoes.
